ON the heels of the California Highway Patrol saying Brandy drove negligently in a fatal car crash last month, the parents of Aboudihah Awatef, who died in the accident on Dec. 30, filed a $50 million suit against the songstress yesterday. She could also be prosecuted for manslaughter. Meanwhile, Brandy has hired crisis-management specialist Allan Mayer of 42 West to try to salvage her Disney-esque reputation, having decided her regular p.r. man, Courtney Barnes, wasn't up to the task.

It always comes down to money. Their daughter died and all they want is Brandy's bankroll.
I wish just once, a celebrity involved in something like this would set an example for society. Admit fault publicly, apologize to the family privately, and offer to make amends to the victim's family by whatever means they dictate. Alas, Brandy is proving herself to be one more hollywood sleaze bag.
