On the tabloids: "I despise what they do. They create soap operas out of people's lives. [Cameron and I] had our thing, and it's over. They edit that stuff like MTV edits reality shows. It's a spin game, and I choose not to take part in it."
On being considered the New King of Pop: "I tried so hard to be an R&B artist [with first solo album Justified] and it was the pop album of the year, and I was like, 'Fuck. That's the last thing I wanted but I was like, 'So everyone considers me a pop artist? Well, fuck it. I'm going to do whatever I want to do."
On surviving the boy-band apocalypse and becoming a man: "I could give you a bunch of analogies about why I'm still around that would sound like hippie self-help bullshit. 'I saw an opportunity and I took it?' Fuck you. Sure, there's a lot of luck involved. But on some level I have to believe in my ability. And I'm not apologizing to anyone. I worked fucking hard to get here."
On being used by the Grammys for ratings: "I'm the nice guy who follows through on the things he commits to. But I don't know if I'll be going through that sort of thing again. I feel like the Grammys used me for ratings. And look at it-they were up 18 percent."
Runner-up was Prunella's Cousin Edith the Poetess. Congrats to you both and thanks Pru's Cousin Edith for the poem.

"Photographs and press coverage will make him upset," Jolie told a Ho Chi Minh City newspaper. "I'm very worried about that. I would like to say I'm sorry for bringing this into Pax's life... I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life," "I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother." As to people who have questioned the actress's decision to adopt again, Jolie said, "Everyone would agree that children need to have a family. I have the ability to help children fulfill that desire. Why should I say no?"

"I've slept with too many women, done too many drugs and been to too many parties. I loved acid when I was at college. It was an escape. I liked mushrooms. They were like easy acid. I did like blow…Blow would dress you up for a party, but never take you there. You’re always like, This is going to be great! Then you’re just depressed.”
-- George Clooney, in 1997
“I hate heroin because I’ve been fascinated by it. I’m not immune, but I won’t do it now, at all.”
-- Angelina Jolie, in 1998
“My mind seemed to have a huge neon sign in it that blinked nonstop: COKE. GET COKE. So I did. It was great for dieting, partying and picking up my mood.”
-- Drew Barrymore (who had gone through rehab twice by age 13), in 1996
-- Colin Farrell, in 2003
“If someone wants to do drugs…as long as he or she isn’t corrupting minors or driving under the influence or endangering others, shouldn’t a person have that right?”
-- Brad Pitt, in 2006

“Extra” spotted Demi Moore on Friday, hiding her face from the paparazzi as she left Sharon Stone’s birthday party at The Ivy.
But that may not be all she’s hiding, as all new pregnancy rumors swirl after a recently published report claims Demi and Ashton are expecting!
On Monday, Demi's rep told "Extra," "If or when Demi is pregnant- she and her husband will decide if that extremely private information should be made public. In the meantime, you should assume she is not."
These pics were taken while Demi attempted to leave The Ivy.
I don't think anyone on tv can make me laugh like Paula Abdul can these days. I mean, she's NOT even trying and I'm in hysterics.
Posts will be next to none, until I've settled, BUT THEN the following Thursday I'm off to Palm Desert for 10 days. Needless to say, Haute Gossip won't be back in FULL EFFECT until the first week of April.
I promise you, when I'm back, I'm back with a vengeance.

The socialite-turned-reality TV star has taken to wearing her ring on her wedding finger, but friends insist the couple isn't engaged. A source says, "They are not engaged but they did exchange rings. It wouldn't be surprising if they are engaged in six months."This picture was taken on the weekend and the proof is on the hand.
The news, first reported by New York Daily News columnist Ben Widdicombe (via gossip site Perez Hilton), comes just days after a photo of Hayek made the Web rounds prompting speculation that she was expecting.
The pair have kept a relatively low profile since their relationship began – though Hayek, 40, has joined Pinault for occasional public events, including one in October at the festivities surrounding the inauguration of the Pinault Foundation's Modern Art collection in Venice's Gritti Palace.
Pinault is the CEO of luxury goods firm PPR, which owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as a French department store and national music chain. His father, François, is an avid art collector owning more than 2,500 valuable pieces, including Picassos, Miros and work by contemporary artistst including Damien Hirst.

And I do like going away to India ... But I'm very motivated at the moment." ~ when asked "What happened to hippy-dippy Sienna?"
