I need to write a little apology to you, my readers. I haven't been keeping up my blog as well and as frequently as I would like to. It has been two weeks with no BAG Of The Week, no KICK Of The Week. Truth is, I've been really really illin with a sinus infection. It's been like nothing I've ever had. I can't think, I can't read and I certainly can't type well. I don't even want to shop. How sickening is that?!?!? This has been ruining me since the middle of October and I finally went and got some drugs, something I hate to do, but at least I should be better in day or two. So I guess I'm trying to say, be patient. I'll post when my head will let me and I vow to kick some celebrity ass again hardcore, once I'm back on my feet for good. I felt the need to post this today because I want you to come back and not give up on me. I'm working on getting better and dammit I WANT TO GO SHOPPING!

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well but glad to read your post. I've been wondering why your blog has been so sparse lately.
P.S. I love your blog and I'm probably twice the age of most of your readers. You've got the perfect mix of celeb gossip and humor. Get better soon!
Couldn't agree more, I love your blog! But I haven't even noticed it was sparse, I thought it was just me wanting more...!
Hope you feel better soon! Try hot steambaths with eucalyptus oil (you know, the towel over your head thing). It helped me a lot!
Hey thanks you two. Since the beginning of October, I've really let my site slide and it's been a struggle to keep up with the gossip as I like to. By the time I'd get online and look for stories, they had already been told elsewhere 5000 times, so it didn't feel right. I hope that in the evenings this weekend I'll have time to catch up.
Thanks for the encouraging words.
P.S. - anon - I'll bet you are not any older than me or alot of the readers here. I may type like I'm a 20 year old but I can tell you - I'm NOT. I just like to pretend I am.......
Oh Leisa! Can I offer some serious advice?? My daughter has had a severe sinus infection for 10 months now. Because she was mis-diagnosed in the first place at a walk-in and then given the wrong antibiotic after the second diagnosis (same walk-in), and then not treated with antibiotics for long enough (was told it must be an alergy) she never did completely get rid of the infection. It completely debilitated her - could not work, slept all the time. Since going to her family doctor she is being treated with strong antibiotics for I guess 6 weeks now and it is finally going away. Make sure it is completey gone before you go off your meds. Get better soon, poor girl! I know what you are going through.
hey d-l : do your daughters teeth hurt? my upper teeth are killing me..... killing me!
Her teeth, her face, her eye(s), her scalp - her nose - sometimes the pain is so unbearable she can't talk and has to take painkillers until the throbbing pain in her nasal pasage and face subsides. There is a really great product that the pharmacist recommended that is called a "nasal wash" or "nasal flush", something like that, where you boil water, let it cool and they provide a bottle for you to literally flush your sinuses out and instruct you how to do it. It was very helpful. Also, the chiropractor has been doing something to her sinuses to help them drain. I can't tell you how sorry I feel for you, sweetie. It is hell - just make sure you do not stop antibiotics until you are absolutley sure you are cured. Vaporizer in the bedroom at night - good luck!
Thanks Leisa......
:-) :-)
Leisa - If it continues, your doctor might want to get a culture of the infected sputum from your sinuses. With a culture, they can see the EXACT antibiotic you should be on because they can determine the sensitivities of your bacteria. So often these things linger because people are getting the wrong antibiotic.
I had to laugh when you wrote that you didn't feel like shopping. I always know when I'm sick when I don't feel like drinking coffee.
Feel better!
I don't want coffee either. Man I'm sick!
If I'm on the wrong antibiotic - someone's going to pay.
