He's right!
I never had kids because I never wanted to raise kids. I'm kinda self-absorbed, I like to do what I want to do, when I want to do it, and my husband feels the same way.
I knew being a parent would cramp my style and his, to say the least!
Child-free and lovin' it!
I never had kids, and I have to say that I regret it hugely. However, everyone I know that has them says virtually the same thing. That you love them to the ends of the earth but that no job is more difficult or more thankless.
I used to have this girlfriend that spent the previous 20 years working in nursing homes. She said it was heartbreaking to watch all of the seniors sitting there year after year after year with no one coming to visit them, ever, even though most of them had children and grandchildren.
