I haven't reported on the deaths of wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and son, but today's information is so bizarre I have to mention it. The whole story is so morbid I can't bring myself to upload a picture of the guy.......
Reports today are saying that BENOIT's Wikipedia entry was altered to mention his wife's death - hours before her body was found in their Georgia home. The wrestler is believed to have asphyxiated his wife Nancy and son Daniel last Friday (22Jun07) and Saturday (23Jun07) respectively, before hanging himself on Sunday (24Jun07). But cops only discovered the dead family at their Atlanta home on Monday (25Jun07) afternoon. Benoit's biography on the user-generated online encyclopedia was changed early on Monday morning (25Jun07), claiming the former World Heavyweight Champion missed a fight last Sunday because his wife had died. Wikipedia's Cary Bass traced the internet protocol (IP) address to a user in Stamford, Connecticut - the headquarters of the World Wrestling Entertainment - but as an IP address does not have to be sent from its place of registration, Bass says it is impossible to pinpoint exactly where the posting was made. Police are investigating.
