RIP Sydney Pollack

Oscar-winning director SYDNEY POLLACK has died of cancer. He was 73. Pollack died on Monday (26May08) at his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles following a ten month battle with the deadly disease.

Home Sweet Home

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally made their minds up and have plunked down a cool $60 million on a sprawling 1,000-acre estate in the south of France.

With 35 bedrooms, plus a vineyard, lake, forest and moat, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and the soon-to-be-born twins will have plenty of room to grow. Brad and Angie now have more than enough room to add to their human menagerie.

Why The Long Face?

I've had two sick kids, off and on, for the last two weeks. The baby is sick with a disgusting cold and yesterday my 4 year old came home with our first ever dose of pink-eye. Lovely. Keeping her away from the baby has been hell. A full time job. Pity me?

I'll be back to bitch just as soon as I've got my fam back up and running.

Looks like Nick is holding on to his 250 million for dear life.

Mariah Carey and her fake marriage to Nick Cannon was celebrated at Magic Mountain in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. According to TMZ - The newlyweds were driven around the park in a golf cart. At all times, Mariah was followed by a hairstylist and makeup artist. Mimi had her own private pot to piss in, with guards right outside the bathroom — you know, to keep her friends out. Their guests were [relegated to] non-private [shitters].

Make Up Your Minds Already

Despite this weeks engagement rumours, Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson have called it quits. Less than two months after rekindling their romance in Miami.

The end of their erratic courtship (they began dating in September '06) comes amid erroneous reports that the pair were engaged, fueled by photos of Hudson wearing a Tiffany & Co. ring (it was a prop!) both on-and-off set of her film Bride Wars, which she's filming in Boston.

"It was a pretty bad breakup," says a Wilson pal. "Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn't want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him."

Since the split, Hudson, 29, and Wilson, 39, have each been spotted letting loose. On May 9, Hudson and Bride Wars costar Steve Howey, 30, visited Boston's Liberty Hotel bar, Alibi. And on May 11, Wilson dropped by N.Y.C.'s Upstairs with two women.

"He was pretty chummy with the ladies ... he was certainly doing some sweet talking," according to an onlooker. "He looked happy to be there hanging with them." The late-night outing was followed by a visit to Butter the next night, where he chatted up a sexy blonde. Says a Hudson source: "She feels dumb thinking it was so serious."

Yesterday these two were in Miami for breakfast and ate dindin in NYC. Here's John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston leaving New York's elusive hotspot for eats, The Waverly Inn. Apparently you can order $75 Mac & Cheese complete with truffles and it's to-die-for. The place to be and be seen. If you don't want to see the paps when you leave, eat somewhere else.

Anyway, back to what I was getting at. Just check out the size of John's feet. Bam! Those are at least size 12's. Now that's what keeps those ladies around.

Sex & The City : The Movie

The Sex & The City movie hits theatres May 30th.


Are you excited to see it? Or were you satisfied how they ended the series originally? Do you think it will be tough watching 'primarily' tv actresses on the big screen for a whole two hours? Me, I'm in it for the clothes. Not much else really.

MAniston - It's On!

Looks like repeat performance of last weeks tryst between Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer in Miami.

The couple didn't seem to mind being photographed while relaxing poolside at the Manadrin Oriental Hotel in Miami Saturday. Later that night Mayer attended the Miami wrap party for Aniston's film, Marley & Me, at the Nikki Coconut Grove. The two were overly touchy feely at the party and left together in the same vehicle. Apparently they have nothing to hide.

This is a strange pairing to me. Not as odd as Mayer and Jessica Simpson, but still odd. He is sure getting around these days. Something tells me this one is going to last longer than it did with Jess. Jennifer doesn't step out with just anyone. She hasn't really stepped out with anyone publicly since Brad. Showing up with John on her arm to last nights wrap party was Jen's way of bringing it. It's on.

Red Carpet Hauteness

The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala happened tonight in New York City. The hautest night in fashion. Check out the lovelies, and the not-so lovelies, arriving. There are those who rocked it, and those who DIDn't. It was more about the shoes for me tonight, than the gowns. Who are you liking? Not?

Posh either had a say in those shoes, or she's pissed she never wore them first. Posh has got to be even more pissed that Katie, hands down, trumped her on tonight's red carpet. Posh was NOT looking fine. Katie's dress is phenomenal. Posh had on the wrong foundation but had the best arm-candy of the night, of any night, fo sho.

You think it was coincidence that Scarlett Johansson announced her engagement the night of the Gala and the eve of her first album dropping? Me neither. Bitch is going to marry Ryan Reynolds. All eyes were on Scarjo and that ring tonight. Give her PR rep a raise. Well played.
