Hollywood's favourite grumpy couple are no more. Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams have separated after 3 years together.
"It was rocky for awhile," says a source close to the couple. "They did what they could to make it work."
The source says the split was amicable.
The pair, who have an almost two year old daughter, Matilda, met while they were filming Brokeback Mountain in 2004. Heath was getting it on with Jakey on screen, but off screen Heath and Michelle had instant chemistry. The couple have not been photographed together in quite some time.
Announcing the break-up over Labor Day long weekend was well played I guess.
