Paris WILL DO 45 DAYS IN THE CLINK

Not too smart of Paris to show up late for her court appearance today. The total lack of regard for the law was just amplified by her late arrival this morning. She was sentenced to 45 days in jail with no possibility of doing work release, an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail - she MUST do the time.

An emotional Paris, with tears welling up in her eyes, told the judge moments before the decision "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Witnesses inside the courtroom say that Paris' parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were both visibly upset as the sentence was handed down. Kathy, we're told, was especially distraught. The judge called out her rep Elliot Mintz in court, describing his testimony as "completely worthless." He also told Paris that he did not believe that she was unaware of her license suspension, adding that she had paperwork in her car stating that her license was suspended. Paris will serve her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF). She will begin her sentence on June 5. If Hilton fails to report on the scheduled date, her sentence will be doubled.

"City Attorney Delgadillo believes today's ruling sends a clear message that in the City of Los Angeles, no one is above the law."

Have a nice summer Paris.

Excellent work, judge. Enough with the bullshit, Paris. Remember to have your hairextensions taken out and your fake nails removed before you go in. You don't want to have to do it yourself when it gets messy after a while. Ciao ciao.

From latimes.com site:

"Until late last year, overcrowded jail facilities in the county had led Sheriff Lee Baca to release most inmates early, including immediately processing out anyone sentenced to less than 90 days in jail. That is no longer true, and Baca's spokesman, Steve Whitmore, said Friday that his understanding of the judge's order meant Hilton was likely to serve the full 45 days."

Yeah, here in Texas, she would have been TAKEN from the courtroom directly to jail. I don't think you can appeal a case that was not heard in front of a jury. How many people are sitting in jail, "waiting for their appeal" to go through?

If it can be appealed, I suspect the judge made an example of her, knowing that in the next 30 days, her attorney will be able to reduce the sentance.
