Dane Cook A Diva?

Dane Cook got the hook at a local Vancouver comedy club on Saturday.

One of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in 2006, comedian Dane Cook, 34, seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. The rumoured boyfriend of Jessica Simpson is in Vancouver filming a movie with Jessica Alba for the next 6 weeks, and on Saturday asked for a guest spot at a downtown comedy club, Yuk Yuk's, opening for headliner Peter Kelamis. Cook showed up and was asked to go on first and to limit his spot to 20-30 minutes. After 33 minutes of performing, and another 5 minutes of warnings, the club then blared music from the speaker system and cut his mic off in an effort to get him off the stage. Surprised, Cook then appeared to just wait until the mic came back on and tried to continue his set, with no sign of slowing down. Again the club repeated the gesture, after another 5 minutes, but this time, Dane stuck his head behind the curtain, then turned back towards the crowd, dropped the mic on the floor and walked off.

Headliner, Peter Kelamis said, "It was the most arrogant thing that I've ever seen in my life. Hands down. He knew a headliner was coming on after him.......and he couldn't care less about it. Throwing the mic down was one of the most childish-looking things I've ever seen a performer do."

Cook's publicity office said he was "unavailable for comment".

I'm going to agree with the founder of Yuk Yuks on this one, you don't kick Dane Cook off your stage!!!! Management there should be fired! Peter Kelamis who? What?

LOL! Finally Dane COok get's a bit of something he deserves.
He is not funny, he appeals to teenage girls cuz he's hot, i'll give you that.
He steals material from other comedias (including Louis CK, my God, couldn't Mr Cook find un-recorded material to steal? or maybe steal from unknown comedians? what a dummy)

and now we learn that he has NO respect whatsoever for perfomer protocol?

OK, I will admit that it was a bit childish, but come on, it's Dane Cook. He's freaking hilarious, and The Yuk Yuk crew did their best, but still. The other guy could have gone later.
Dane Cook FTW!!!!

Dane Cook made a major fool of himself. Realy he did,i'm just glad hes ashamed of himself. Kelamis is hillarious, and when not doing stand-up, he makes a pretty good actor.
