Paris WILL DO 45 DAYS IN THE CLINK

Not too smart of Paris to show up late for her court appearance today. The total lack of regard for the law was just amplified by her late arrival this morning. She was sentenced to 45 days in jail with no possibility of doing work release, an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail - she MUST do the time.

An emotional Paris, with tears welling up in her eyes, told the judge moments before the decision "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Witnesses inside the courtroom say that Paris' parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were both visibly upset as the sentence was handed down. Kathy, we're told, was especially distraught. The judge called out her rep Elliot Mintz in court, describing his testimony as "completely worthless." He also told Paris that he did not believe that she was unaware of her license suspension, adding that she had paperwork in her car stating that her license was suspended. Paris will serve her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF). She will begin her sentence on June 5. If Hilton fails to report on the scheduled date, her sentence will be doubled.

"City Attorney Delgadillo believes today's ruling sends a clear message that in the City of Los Angeles, no one is above the law."

Exposing Dad - A New Trend

The Hoff gets wasted, his daughter tapes it, 'someone' leaks it to the press. It's the latest reality - messy divorces. The Hoff's soon-to-be-ex-wife, Pamela Bach, has been sharing her reality as the wife of The Hoff, nightly on Entertainment Tonight this week.


In what appears to be a cry for help, ET has obtained exclusive video of DAVID HASSELHOFF in Las Vegas -- where he is currently starring in The Producers -- in which he appears to be intoxicated in heartbreaking footage believed to be taken three months ago by his 16-year-old daughter, TAYLOR.

In the video, Taylor begs her father to stop drinking, saying, "Dad, look what this is doing to you. You have to stop drinking alcohol, promise me you won't drink anymore. They're going to come tomorrow and test you, and you're going to lose your job."

He appears intoxicated, lying on the floor, wearing only a pair of blue jeans while attempting to eat a hamburger.

Sources tell ET that he told his daughters that if he ever fell off the wagon, they should tape him so that he'll know what kind of condition he's in and learn something from it.

In a statement to ET through his attorneys, David said: "I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that, I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work. I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately, I did have a brief relapse. Because of my honest and positive relationship with my children, who were concerned for my well-being, there was a tape made when I had a relapse to show me what I was like. I have seen the tape. I have learned from it, and I am back on my game. I thank God for the love and concern from my children. The tape made by my children was never meant to become public, but was obviously released by my estranged wife, who has her own agenda. I hope that someone else will learn form this tape, as I have."

Prosecuters Want Paris To Spend 45 Days In The Hole

The Los Angeles City Attorney is asking that Paris Hilton spend 45 days in jail for breaching probabation. Paris must appear tomorrow on a probation violation, for allegedly driving on a suspended license. Hilton was already on probation after pleading no contest last January to alcohol-related reckless driving. The DMV had suspended Hilton's license as a result of her DUI bust.

While her license was suspended, Hilton was stopped by the CHP last January 15, and again by the L.A. County Sheriffs on February 27. According to the papers, Hilton also failed to enroll in an alcohol education program within 21 days of the order directing her to do so. The legal papers ask that "Hilton be ordered to serve 45 days in County Jail." Prosecutors also want her to be ordered "not to consume any alcohol for a continuous period of 90 days." During that 90-day period, prosecutors want her "to be monitored for alcohol consumption ... by use of a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) device at her expense."

It's over. Jennifer Esposito and that cutey, Bradley Cooper. Esposito filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

Esposito is seeking spousal support and requests that the court deny any financial support for Cooper. She's also asking that he pay her legal fees. A rep for Esposito said in a statement on Wednesday: "Jennifer Esposito has filed for divorce. She asks that you respect her privacy at this time."

Cindy Guagenti, a rep for Cooper, said in another statement: "The divorce was mutual and they've been separated for quite a while."

After only 4 months of marriage and just about a year of dating, and she's suing for spousal support?? He totally cheated on her, don't you think???

Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown last month and has yet to get a DNA test from Eddie Murphy.

"He's not doing a DNA test and he's not signing the birth certificate," Brown told PEOPLE Tuesday at a party for the U.S. launch of the BOOTS beauty brand in Hollywood. "So it's going to have to go to court so he can be forced to do it, which is strange since he was the one asking for it."

Brown, 31, who has an 8-year-old daughter, Phoenix, with her ex-husband, has long maintained that Murphy, 46, is her new baby's father, although he told a Dutch TV show in December: "I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test."

Murphy also has not contacted Brown since Angel was born, Brown said: "He hasn't seen his daughter. My people have contacted his people and they just had no response to anything."

Although Brown refers to Murphy as "a great guy," she added: "I just think no woman should have to go through that and no baby should have to go through that. Be responsible. What else can you say?"

Chloe Sevigny's Experiments

In an interview with Style Magazine, Chloe Sevigny revealed that she enjoyed experimenting with hallucinogenic drugs.

The actress, who claims she has never been a "good drug user", took so many hallucinogens in her youth her parents sent her for treatment.

"I had a great family life - I would never want it to look as if it reflected on them. I think I was just very bored. And I did just love taking hallucinogens. I probably shouldn't promote that. But I often feel it's because I experimented when I was younger that I have no interest as an adult."

While the 32-year-old admits to experimenting with marijuana and hallucinogens, she was too scared to take cocaine.

Chloe said: "I have never snorted anything, and even as a kid, if I smoked a lot of pot, my heart would pump and I would think I was going to have a heart attack. So I have always thought if I did cocaine I would have a heart attack."

Selma's 30 Day Rehab Stint

Selma Blair has just finished a secret 30-day stint in rehab for substance abuse.

According to US reports, Selma has had an addiction problem for some time, but her drug abuse escalated rapidly after her divorce from husband Ahmet Zappa last November.

While Selma, 34, managed to hide her drug problems in public, friends and family became increasingly concerned about her. In March she realised she'd lost control of her life and entered the Promises Treatment Center in Malibu.

"Selma finally admitted to herself that she had a problem and made up her mind to take care of it," an insider says.

Despite the coverage the facility received when Britney Spears was a resident early this year, Selma managed to keep her stay at Promises low-key. And unlike the troubled pop singer, the Legally Blonde star seems to have absorbed some valuable lessons in rehab.

"She embraced what she learned at Promises and distinguished herself as a model patient," says a source. "She's anxious to get back to work and pursue a healthy and drug-free lifestyle."

Frenzy Over UnPlastic Bag

Shoppers lined up at 2am this morning in London for a chance to get their hands on the most sought after handbag of the moment. Anya Hindmarch's shopping bag. It's a reusable cotton canvas bag, with the logo I'm Not A Plastic Bag, meant to draw attention to the catastrophe that is the amount of plastic bags in our landfills.

You've probably seen it on the arm of some of Britain's finest - Lily Allen, Sienna Miller and Keira Knightley, hence it's instant popularity. Its "It" bag credentials were secured when it was chosen as the goodie-bag for guests at the 2007 Vanity Fair Oscar night party.
Hindmarch developed the cotton bags with the We Are What We Do movement, a not for profit organisation which encourages people to use simple every day actions to change the world.

The designer said: "The idea was to create something that was really desirable to highlight ethical issues without being really worthy.

"It's amazing seeing people walking around with this billboard and I have mine with me all the time."

"When I started thinking about designing it I realized I could do something quite exciting and had a funny feeling it would be quite popular, but I wish we had ordered more bags because my shop's been like a call centre in these last few weeks because people have been really frustrated they have not been able to get hold of them."

By the time the bags went on sale at 8am queues were snaking around buildings with thousands of women, and a few men, hoping to snap up a Hindmarch creation.

As tension grew, one woman was heard declaring, "You know I will fight for one of these bags don't you?"

Some 20,000 of the bags, selling for £5, were up for sale. But with just a small number of bags in each store, only the most devoted of shoppers were successful.

By 9am many stores had already sold out and by lunchtime they had sold out at all 450 stores making for one of the most unusual fashion bonanzas ever seen.

I'm Not A Plastic Bag will be released in the US this June.

Maguire rolls with an entourage of 10, including his fiancée, Jennifer Meyer, their daughter, Ruby, and a personal chef who cooks him vegetarian meals. The star also requires "two cases of the water he likes, a rocking chair in his hotel bedroom, and a full-size refrigerator." A rep for Maguire had "no comment."

Rosie Said "One Year, 10 Million Or Nothing"

We all know by now, Rosie O'Donnell announced yesterday that she won't be renewing her contract with The View once it expires in mid-June. She wanted to sign on for another year, but ABC Daytime wanted her to sign for three.

Today the dollars they were throwing around have been revealed. ABC Daytime offered Rosie 30 million dollars to sign on for three years and she refused. She asked for 10 million for one year which the network turned down. Both parties held their ground, and Rosie made her announcement on yesterday's show.

Both Rosie and ABC say she will return to do guest hosting duties and head a couple hour long specials on Autism and Children's charities for the network.
